🏠 Hybrid Working
🌎 Global tech company founded in 2011
🌱 Our mission is to shape the future through technology
The role
Design, develop, and test embedded C/C++ firmware and real-time software architectures for cutting-edge automotive, medtech, and industrial devices, ensuring full functional safety compliance, high code quality, and seamless integration in alignment with Idneo standards and product excellence goals.
Key functions
Design the detailed architecture and embedded software modules in C and C++ programming languages for microcontrollers and microprocessors (ARM Cortex-M/A, TriCore, etc.).
Develop low-level drivers (MCAL/HAL), hardware abstraction layers, and communication protocol stacks (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, BLE, Wi-Fi).
Implement application logic running on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, SafeRTOS) or Bare-Metal architectures.
Configure and integrate industry-standard software stacks (e.g., AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive) when applicable according to project needs.
Execute debugging on the target board utilizing laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, emulators, and CAN network tools (Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, PeakCAN).
Actively cooperate with the Hardware and Validation teams to troubleshoot anomalies and support the commissioning of new prototypes.
Key responsibilities
Apply secure and maintainable coding guidelines following the MISRA C / MISRA C++ standards and static/dynamic code analysis rules.
Ensure strict compliance with software quality processes under ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) or ISO 9001/13485 models.
Actively participate in the implementation of functional safety standards depending on the industry (ISO 26262 for automotive, IEC 62304 for medical devices, or IEC 61508 for industrial).
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code coverage analysis (using tools like VectorCAST, Cantata, or GoogleTest) to guarantee software reliability.
Manage versions properly using control tools (Git, SVN) and track tasks/bugs effectively through issue tracking systems (Jira, Confluence).
Document software design specifications, architecture, and test plans in accordance with the project's delivery phases.
Participate in peer-to-peer Code Reviews to ensure consistency, high quality, and adherence to development best practices across the team.
(*) The described functions are only the most representative for this position; therefore, they should not be understood as all the inherent functions related to this job position.

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid programming skills in C/C++
Experience working with RTOS and Bare-metal architectures.
Knowledge of communication buses (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART)
Proficiency in Git, Jira, GCC/IAR/Keil compilers, and Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.
