EHS Specialist to be the primary responsible for promoting and maintaining Environmental, Health and Safety measures in the workplace (working together with an external prevention service), ensuring their implementation and compliance with legal regulations.
You will be responsible for the definition and implementation of our Health and Safety Standards across the business on all our premises. You will deliver the company’s strategy on all aspects of Health, Safety & Environmental and will offer day to day direction, support, advice, and action plans. 


Main responsibilities:


  • Be the main responsible of the health and safety activities in the Idneo sites (Mollet & Málaga) and the coordination activities with customer sites, together with an external prevention service.
  • Program and execute legal compliance program for EHS
  • Manage coordination of business activities. Evaluation and supervision of activities
  • Asses any new activity, project or modifications from an EHS point of view, and manage related actions
  • Participate in the internal audit program - and safety observations;
  • Interact appropriately with government agencies and with the company's legal resources
  • Control and implement new legal requirements related to Health and Safety that are applicable to the activity.
  • Report and investigate accidents: use of investigation tools, root cause analysis and help in identifying corrective actions;
  • Support in the definition and drafting of work procedures from the point of view of safety & environmental
  • Organize EH&S trainings as needed to support continuous EH&S improvement. Coaching session for middle managers - improving safety knowledge within the management team
  • Lead safety awareness programs to help identify and change unsafe behaviors and conditions

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with at least 2 prevention specialties (Workplace Safety, Occupational Health and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology)
  • +3-4 years’ experience in a similar role in Occupational Risk Prevention, preferably in a similar company
  • Possess proper knowledge of OH&S Spanish and EU regulations
  • Experience managing CAE (Coordinación de Actividades Empresariales).
  • Business level fluency in English and Spanish
  • Good communications skills to engage with people at all levels of the business;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Demonstrable ability to learn quickly, while closely adhering to new processes and procedures.
  • You’re able to work independently, at times under minimum levels of supervision.
  • You’re flexible and adaptable; able to meet the needs of the business head on.
  • Great team player: you contribute to a positive and healthy team environment.
