The role

Develop new MedTech customer accounts and generate sales by:

  • Analyzing and identifying general market opportunities and trends,

  • Cultivating long-term relationships with prospective customers and

  • Following a commercial strategy focused on value selling.

Key responsibilities

The Business Development Manager reports to the MedTech Executive Director. Her/his functions include:

  • monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor insights & pricing,

  • develop and maintain contacts with prospective customers in order to expand their awareness of Idneo,

  • promote Idneo’s products & services addressing and highlighting the benefits they can bring to customers and utilizing a variety of techniques including cold calls, trade show leads, network connections, and industry contacts,

  • generate content for email campaigns, website pages, social media posts, case studies, white papers, webinars, PowerPoint presentations, etc.,

  • extend and ensure the accuracy of Idneo’s CRM system,

  • coordinate the response to new RFQ/RFI opportunities liaising with other Idneo functions and making sure offers are prepared in full alignment with customer needs and expectations,

  • present offers to customers, negotiate and close new business deals,

  • transfer new accounts to the Account Manager once they are consolidated and

  • report progress to management.

Job requirements

  • degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or Business / Sales,

  • 5 or more years of proven business / commercial experience in the In Vitro Diagnostics, Medical Device, Pharma or Life Science markets,

  • Excellent customer orientation, negotiation and communication skills,

  • Ability to work effectively with management, engineering and operations functions to advance company sales,

  • Alignment with Idneo’s pro-activity, innovation and positive attitude values,

  • Availability for international travel (max 10%)Ā 

  • Good command of English.
