Mechanical Design Engineer - CREO PTC in the United Kingdom

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with solid experience working with PTC CREO DIRECT who will participate in a challenging project that has an inicial stage (3-6 months) working directly in the headquarters of our client located in Horsham (UK). The main funtions carried out are:


  • Design engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, developing fan curves, system power measurements & acoustics.
  • Collaborate and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Using ProEngineer or other 3D CAD software as a mechanical design tool.
  • Development, definition and design electronics packaging.


You are a Mechanical Product Design Engineer with 1-2 years or more experience in mechanical product design. Experience in CREO development, industrialization phase and quality and test issues. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels. Designing sheet metal and plastic parts and associated production tooling and processes. Experience using CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solution. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
